reasonably close. a couple of years ago, i saw a device that had cameeras mounted on either side of a cloak and it projected the image to the opposite side. the problem with that was capturing all 360 degrees without noticeable refraction. cameeras are getting smaller with higher resolution, and scientists have been working for a while now so it;s only a matter of time.

We are using artificial technologies and we are close..but the ancients had the natural ability to cloak themselves. They are know as the Jinn. They still exist but we yet not have discovered the tech to see their worlds. Right now it is possible one of them is standing besides you and laughing to see what you are reading. But don’t be scared they don’t harm people. And few people can see them naturally.

Camouflage is common in the animal world,they use various methods to cloak themselves.
With some of the latest technology,an electronic cloaking device should not be too far away,but it won’t be perfect and defense against it won’t be too far behind.
We don’t have one yet or our troops in Iraq would be invisible,then the terrorists after that,scary,eh.
